The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions on the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering expert services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it truly is alarmed with regard to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to here a large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area regularly. The services position created for intervention experiences a substantial influx of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for your office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more methods to help the servicing of all clients and boost use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
